The library empowering students with essential research skills is a top priority, which is why we're proud to highlight our Information Literacy Program. Through a series of engaging library orientations and learning sessions, we've successfully completed 75 sessions in the Academic Year 2022-2023. These sessions are designed to equip students with the necessary tools to navigate the vast landscape of information effectively. From understanding database usage to honing critical evaluation skills, our program fosters information literacy essential for academic success and beyond. We understand the importance of maintaining a relevant and accessible collection for our users, which is why we regularly conduct the necessary process of weeding. The library meticulously assessed the existing collection and made the decision to remove nearly 3000 books as per Ministry of Education guideline. Weeding is crucial as it not only saves valuable shelf space, allowing for the addition of new and relevant materials, but also enhances the browsing experience for our patrons, making it easier to find the resources they need. By removing outdated or underused materials, we ensure that our collection remains up-to-date, appealing, and aligned with the evolving needs of our academic community.
