You need not worry we will not be charging you any late fees!!

The pandemic has resulted in the closure of the university. If you have any books checked out, please retain them for now. We have suspended our overdue notifications and renewed books for faculty and continuing students until the library reopens.

Reopening of AUE Library

1. The pandemic has caused a world-wide closures of universities.
2. AUE like most educational institutes across the UAE have implemented Online-learning.
3. The library remains committed in providing our users with all the virtual resources that they need.
4. With all courses being fully online, our goal is to maximize online access to our resources and provide virtual support for digital research and learning.

THE EFFECTIVE USE OF RESOURCES

1. The Library in coordination with Elsevie organized a training workshop for faculty on the use of Scopus.
2. Scopus is a comprehensive abstract and citation database of scholarly articles, books and conference proceedings.
3. Users can initiate global research in science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities.
4. Mr. Wael Mansour, Customer Consultant from Elsevier, focused on the modules available in Scopus.
5. He highlighted methods of extracting data relative to research performance for both individual researchers and an institution as a whole.
6. Incremental ways to further develop collaborative opportunities both regionally and internationally, as well as boost citations per publication, field-weighted citation impact, and h-index were also discussed.

  • Our wide variety of workshops, including general library orientation and workshops that concentrate on improving student research skills.

Study Room Policy

1. Study rooms must be booked through the AUE Library Portal.

2. Each room accommodates a maximum of four students.

3. The maximum booking duration for a study room is strictly limited to one hour per day per student. Bookings are non-renewable.

4. Study rooms must be booked on the same day they are to be used. Advance or future reservations are not allowed.

5. Students who want to book a room must log in with their University IDs on the reservation portal: https://catalog.aue.ae

6. Upon arrival at the library, students must present a booking confirmation email and a valid student ID at the reception counter for verification.

7. Students are strictly prohibited from using a booked study room to store their belongings, locking it, and leaving for classes. If such behavior is observed, security will be notified, the room will be cleared of personal items, and the reservation will be canceled.

8. Study rooms are strictly designated for studying and should not be used for talking, socializing, or entertainment purposes.

9. Students are expected to keep the study rooms clean. Trash must be disposed of properly in the designated bins.

Reservations will be automatically canceled, and the study rooms will be vacated under the following conditions:

1. If the student arrives more than 5 minutes late, the reservation will be canceled, and they will be notified.

2. If the student brings or consumes food inside the room.

3. If the rooms are used for gaming or if students engage in inappropriate or disruptive behavior.

4. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the study rooms.
