Through this partnership, we have transformed the Kortext platform to provide our students and faculty with even broader access to educational resources. Fulfilling User’s Needs: AUE Library's Customized Information Literacy Sessions

Introducing MyLOFT, your personal library hub tailored specifically for AUE subscribed content for remote access of all the databases subscribed by AUE. With this single app and website, accessing, organizing, sharing, and reading offline all your e-contents has never been easier. We're excited to announce the implementation of new MyLOFT tools for Proxy services, enhancing accessibility and convenience for our users. Now, faculty and students can seamlessly access AUE subscribed content anytime, anywhere, ensuring uninterrupted learning and research experiences. Stay connected to your academic resources with MyLOFT, revolutionizing the way you engage with digital content.

Empowering Faculty: Online Database Sessions for Maximizing Electronic Resources

The library is dedicated to empowering faculty members with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively utilize electronic resources. To achieve this goal, we have organized a series of online database sessions tailored specifically for faculty. These sessions are designed to provide comprehensive guidance on navigating and harnessing the full potential of electronic resources available through the library. From conducting advanced searches to leveraging specialized databases, participants will gain valuable insights and practical strategies for incorporating electronic resources into their teaching, research, and professional development activities. Strengthening Partnerships: AUE Library Signs MoU with The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM)

The library has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM). This strategic partnership signifies our commitment to collaboration in resource sharing and professional development initiatives. Through this MoU, both institutions aim to enhance access to a diverse range of resources for their respective academic communities while fostering continuous learning and growth opportunities for library staff and faculty members. By leveraging our collective expertise and resources, we look forward to further enriching the academic and research experiences of our students and faculty.

Fostering Collaboration: The Consortium of Academic Libraries in the Emirates (CALE)

The Consortium of Academic Libraries in the Emirates (CALE) is a collaborative initiative comprising primarily privately funded academic institutions of higher education across the Emirates. With members including Ajman University, American University in the Emirates, Amity University Dubai, Canadian University Dubai, and the American University in Dubai, CALE functions to enhance access to information materials, facilitate interlibrary resource sharing, and expand electronic information resources through group negotiations and purchasing collaborations. Additionally, CALE focuses on advancing professional development opportunities for library staff, sharing knowledge on new products and services, and organizing joint events such as seminars and conferences. Through ongoing public relations activities, CALE aims to advocate for the collective interests of its member institutions at local, state, regional, and national levels, ultimately enriching the academic and research landscape in the Emirates.
