Redesigning Access: Launch of the Enhanced AUE Library Website

This year, the AUE Library proudly unveiled its newly updated website, designed to offer a more intuitive, user-friendly, and resource-rich experience for our academic community. The revamped platform reflects our ongoing commitment to digital innovation and enhanced access to information.

Key Highlight: All-in-One Search Box

At the heart of the new design is the All-in-One Search Box, a powerful discovery tool embedded directly on the library homepage. This feature allows users to search seamlessly across a wide range of library resources including databases, e-books, journals, and the catalog all in one place. With improved navigation and faster access to academic materials, users can now locate the resources they need with greater ease and efficiency.

The updated website also includes streamlined menus, improved mobile compatibility, and clearer pathways to essential services such as study room bookings, interlibrary loans, and research assistance.

With these enhancements, the AUE Library continues to raise the standard of digital support for academic success, ensuring that our users enjoy a smooth and enriching research experience every time they visit the site.

Enhancing Access: Launch of the Online Study Room Booking System via KOHA

In our ongoing efforts to improve user experience and streamline access to library services, the AUE Library has successfully launched an online study room booking system through our library portal, powered by KOHA. This new system allows students to conveniently reserve study spaces in advance, ensuring a more organized and efficient use of library facilities.

With just a few clicks, our users can now view availability and secure a study room that fits their schedule and needs. This enhancement not only supports collaborative learning but also reflects our commitment to embracing digital solutions that empower our academic community. By integrating this feature into our KOHA platform, we continue to prioritize ease of access, flexibility, and user satisfaction across all our services.

Improved Communication: Automated Email Alerts for Library Services

To further enhance our service experience, the AUE Library has introduced automated email notifications for key library activities, including check-ins, check-outs, and study room bookings. This new feature ensures that users receive timely updates and confirmations directly in their inbox, promoting better awareness and management of their library interactions.

Whether you’re borrowing materials or securing a study space, these automated alerts are designed to keep you informed and organized, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to convenience, transparency, and user-focused service delivery.

Expanding Research Horizons: Subscription to Taylor & Francis Database

As part of our ongoing mission to support high-quality research and academic excellence, the AUE Library is proud to announce its new subscription to the Taylor & Francis database. Known for its extensive range of peer-reviewed journals across diverse academic disciplines, Taylor & Francis provides our students, faculty, and researchers with direct access to authoritative and cutting-edge scholarly content.

This valuable addition significantly enhances our digital library offerings, enabling our academic community to explore a wealth of articles, case studies, and research papers from reputable international publications. By subscribing to Taylor & Francis, we continue to reinforce our commitment to fostering a rich, research-driven learning environment at AUE.

Insightful Research: Integration of Web of Science, Scopus and Altmetric Scores in Summon

To further enhance the research capabilities of our academic community, the AUE Library has integrated Web of Science and Altmetric Scores into the Summon Discovery Service. This powerful upgrade brings new dimensions to resource discovery by providing users with detailed metrics and analytics for the academic content they access.

Through this integration, users can now view citation data from the Web of Science and SCOPUS offering valuable insight into the scholarly impact and credibility of journal articles. Additionally, Altmetric Scores provide real-time attention data from news outlets, social media, policy documents, and more highlighting the broader engagement and reach of research beyond traditional academia.

These advanced tools empower students, faculty, and researchers to evaluate resources not only by relevance but also by their academic influence and societal impact. With this development, the AUE Library continues to support data-informed learning, research excellence, and academic discovery.
